Cut up, bruised, bloody, and swollen

You would think I was going to write about moving...right? sorry but not right now. I'm in too much pain to bother with that. Now you're wondering why I'm in pain...no I'm not homesick (too much), no my roommates aren't mean. I'm just a clutz. I was walking home from church, and you know how somtimes the sidewalk is uneven. Well in front of my apartment stairs there is a little piece of sidewalk like that. I didn't realize it and apparently I didn't pick my foot up enough when I walked, cuz I totally fell. Now my knee is cut up, bruised, bloody, and swollen. It hurts so bad and I kinda wish I was at home. lol Hopefully the pain will go away today so that I can walk campus tomorrow, you can only hope right :)

It's the simple things in life

So I thought I would share this adorable picture that I received from one the sweetest girls ever. While we were at Girls Camp last month our tent (me, Jamie, Kallie, and Madeleine) discovered that the zipper on our tent door did not work. It would zip across the bottom but the middle zipper was completely broken, and no one could fix it. So we weren't sure what to do...the younger girls tent zipper was also broken, they were able to hang a sheet up to keep the nasty bugs out, but we weren't so fortunate. So that night as we went to bed me and Madeleine improvised; two black garbage bags, lots of duct tape; and a few safety pins. Well our door worked for a little bit; keeping the bugs out but not so much the cold, but then we had to go use the bathroom...we didn't want to ruin our door but we decided that ruining was the best idea. So down went our door...we got back to the tent and we couldn't get the door to stick any longer, so we grabbed Kallie's overnighter bag and propped it up against the "door". So here is the lovely picture Madeleine sent me today;

In case you can't tell; there is me and Madeleine standing next to a tent that has a door :)

It really is something as small as having a door on a tent that means a lot...we had so many bugs in our tent from a day of not having a door, and it was cold because the wind could blow right through our make shift door. So next time you head to go camping, make sure your door works properly :)

Ch ch ch changes...

The changes have begun!! First off, I have short hair! AH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol okay so not short but for me it's short. Saturday I went to Provo so Cassi could do my hair, big changes in life coming up why not change the hair right. So I went to Provo and spent the ENTIRE day getting my hair changed up! We cut anywhere between 6-7 inches off of the length, so as Nathan put it, my hair is no longer down to my badonkadonk. :) It's a few inches below my shoulders, we did a bit of a side bang and we did blonde highlights along with 2 shades of red. So yes its mucho differento!! :) But I love it. I've began to think that changing my hair is something that I have complete control over so it changes so easily with my moods and such, I've definitely loved seeing how I've changed my hair as times in my life have changed. ANYWAY... this post is a little late :) but there is really 3 days left until the BIG change. I'm getting more excited, but at night I'm more scared. I hope that will go away because I don't want to sit and cry myself to sleep at school. I know that this change is what I need to do; but its hard for me to leave. I know I'm only going to be an hour and a half away, and will visit often but it's hard for me to let go of things I guess. Well there is things that need to get done, that aren't getting done, and don't look to be getting done tonight, but I should at least attempt it...

And the goodbyes begin...

I was expecting tonight to be a hard night. Full of tears, talking about past memories, more tears, and lots of hugs. Not so much, quite the opposite. Tonight was full of laughter (crying because of laughing so hard) and doing things that we did when we were immature 3rds graders but now in a grown up manner. I didn't come home crying, I came home with lots of memories flooding my mind, and of course I came home smellin' like my second home (love that!) Now to explain: You see back in 1999 (that seems like a lifetime ago) I was living in Midvale, in this tiny little duplex that had ducks in the backyard. I was the new kid on the block, and in the ward. Every Sunday I would go to church and sit down in primary, then this cocky little blonde haired girl would ALWAYS come sit down by me. I thought honestly could ya leave me alone I can't STAND you!!! I thought this girl was the biggest snot in the world, so I would always move, occasionally she would follow. Sooner or later she got the idea. (Thank goodness!!!) Then one day I saw her rollarblade past my house with her little sister. I was outside and when I saw her go past I think I darted for my backyard until she passed (I actually think she fell and I snickered to myself) [side note; I'm realizing how rude I was back then...] Then as I was playing in my front yard (I do believe I had a stuffed alien..) her little sister came over and struck up a conversation and we talked and talked; then this girl came over and I decided maybe I could give her a chance. Fast forward 10 years, this girl now has a name Breanne Noel (her sister is Brooklynne aka Brookie) We're the best of friends! We got busy as the high school years drew upon us, and we rarely saw each other. She got busy with ballroom dance, and I got busy with...well... nothing :) But we still managed to keep that friendship alive. We have traditions...boy do we have traditions. I remember going to movies constantly, seemed like every other weekend we'd be at a movie. To be cool one of us would buy the tickets, the other would buy the popcorn and drinks. We did that to try and make the payment fair..yeah I'm not so sure that it was always fair.. And then there was the days of Easy Bake Oven...well that could take awhile for me to describe so you can imagine it:) Tonight I had to say goodbye to both of these girls. But it didn't really seem like goodybe, it just seemed like a normal night sayin' see ya later. Of course I think deep down I'm feelin' a little blue, but not really. We've come this far, we can't stop now right... We're going to bring truth to the popular saying "Best Friends Forever!" I love you Breanne! And Brookie...I love you..only as a friend :)

 Yes we are that cool, we have matching shirts.

Busy Busy Busy

I never realized just how busy I would be right before I moved. It seems like all my friends want to get in our last minute hang outs right in a row. On top of that I'm still lookin' and hopin for a job in Ephraim (which will probably mean travelling down there...) spending time with family and everyone else who wants to do something with me. I'm kind of at the point where I'm getting overloaded, but that's okay...right? Maybe not; its been quite stressful really. ANYWAYS, if you want to see me before I move, hang out, chat, anything...you better tell me now so I can get everything scheduled....ah...
